The wine is yellow gold colored. It smells like botrytised, butterscotch, hazelnut and tea/petrol?. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity. I was concerned the wine would have been well passed its prime. Non so. It is in a great drinking window. Perfectly intact and highly recommended. I love being surprised by older/lost bottles in the wine cellar

Rich, honeyed nose cut by lemon zest. The nose carries onto the palate. Rich, viscous fruit, honey, lemon, spice, stone fruits. Mineral notes. Perfect acidity to cut through the richness of the fruit. Finishes long and bracing, great acidity, candied citrus. Altogether a wonderful wine.

Seven years have served this wine well. Lovely floral and honey nose. Lemon, peach on the palate with nice minerality and good acidity. The finish is long, viscous and lovely. This wine really needed age and now is drinking beautifully. Probably will drink well for another 3 to 5 years.

Opened to compare to the brundelmayer gruner, this much younger American offering is crisper, lighter, and more sauv. Blanc like. Austere with green fruit notes, it's deft on its feet with hints of sweetness.

Crisp, clean wine, slight green taste which limits other flavors; modest acidity; mild finish.
