Unremarkable, but when I revisited what I had paid, I should not have been as surprised as I was. Maybe in the past I had a specific bottling that left me with a better recollection than tonight?

An inviting and easy to like (& drink!) Sonoma Pinot Noir with a nose of raspberry, plum with subtle aromas of vanilla & clove. Well balanced pallate with bright acidity throughout and round soft tannins while adding notes of cranberry & dried mushroom. Excellent QPR and a stellar pairing with steak truffle penne pasta! [3/8/24] ($14)

The color is a light ruby in the glass quite opaque for a red. Dried cherries, dried plum, and rich cassis on the nose. On the pallet is well balanced with tannins that are not too grippy. Plum and raspberry dominate the mid pallet leading to a nice and crisp finish.

Decent wine, got half a bottle as a gift from the hotel. Aerated with a Vinturi before drinking. Opened up nicely, but has a slight lingering aftertaste. Would drink at a party.

I’m new to Pinot Noir and picky about them. This one was a pleasant surprise. A lovely nose and a medium body with lovely balance of fruit, acidity, and velvety tannins. I definitely recommend it.
