Did a taste comparison of this 2016 Pinot and Banshee’s 2015 Pinot. As the ratings illustrate, the ‘15 is significantly better. This one is not as smooth or as fruity as the ‘15. Still a pretty decent wine, but nothing spectacular.

Nice acidity and good earthiness, but somewhat lacks the textbook Pinot character of cherry and sweet spice. Those elements are there, they could just stand to be amped up some. As is, this wine feels a little flat.

Solid Pinot. Toasty black cherry, spices, tobacco, and kettle corn aromas. Earthy, savory, well balanced, and very appealing in the mouth. Develops a whiff of brown sugar to go with dark stone minerality and gentle, black tea tannin.
