Very dark color, has integrated well over time. IT does have sediment, so pour slowly. Wouldn't say un-fined but definitely not fined well enough. Spice and plum on the nose with hints of leather. The palate gives you a taste of a meat full bodied wine, not thin at all. Currants, coffee, dark chocolate. Finishes long and strong with moderate tannins. Based on other reviewers this bottle needed some time on the shelf. Glad I waited!

Ok, I drank this earlier in the week so my memory on the fine details is long gone. I remember it being almost a "thick" tasting mouth feel. It was weird, but not bad in any way! I really liked the wine. Lots of dark berry flavor and well integrated. Consistent through the beginning, middle and end of the palate cycle. I probably would have given it an 89 if I could remember the details. When I pulled it out of my wine frig and saw the 2005 date and the screw cap, I thought it may have been a goner, but surprisingly, it had more life left though it may be getting close to the end. I just looked at the wine label for the grapes used: Syrah Noir, Alicante Bouchet, and Cab Sauvignon. That could be why it lasted this long! It drank very well! I believe I have one more left. As for sediment that others described, there was very little on the bottom bottle. Maybe this bottle was closer to the initial bottling and not the end.

Nice nose, enjoyable with Mexican spicy red beans and rice but with out the PS profile I was expecting. Some residual sediment but nothing unusual. No reason not to start drinking now.

Much better than the bottle I had at release, smooth, full of fruit, still a bit tannic. Nice blackberry jam, little to no heat. A lot of sediment. Really solid.

All of my previous comments still apply. Still very bright and full of flavor, and yeah, sediment. :-P
