I was surprised by this wine. Very classy little number. Seems to be perfect time to drink this wine! Reasonable cost as well. Might add some 2010 to the cellar given the performance of this one.

Deep purple and strong tears; peppery, forest floor nose; dry full bodied, low dry tannins. Palate peppers, cedar, black fruits and softer pepper after 2 hours. Decanted for 30 minutes and although good at first taste it improved over the course of the meal. An attractive second label Margaux that worked well with Confit Duck

Had this as the second wine at my friend's house warming dinner.
A purple coloured wine with notes of coffee, toffee, oak and cherries on the nose. The entry is moderate, and concentration is more towards the middle, suggesting more Merlot than Cabernet Sauvignon in this second wine from a Margaux third growth. The finish was short.
This makes a good table wine to pair with fried chicken, pork ribs and roasted meat.

ok wine but an under-performer. Coffee. Feels strong in alcohol but weak in nose.
