Robust botrytis character, on the nose and especially the palate. Nectar and peach aromas. Sweet, but enough acidity to keep it fairly balanced. Not the longest finish, but overall, this is a tasty one.

Royal Tokaji in Hungary is my wife's favorite dessert wine producer, and I bought it from WineBid for $40. It was interesting to contrast this with a Rombauer Late Harvest Chard from earlier in the week. This was so much more complex: apricot, honey, more tropical flavors, caramel, and some burnt or bitter orange. It was sort of like what I enjoy with Amaro Nonino, but I'm not sure if that light bitterness is a bug or a feature. I enjoyed it either way. This is definitely something to sip and savor in small quantities.
After drinking it again the following day, the orange bitterness had disappeared. I guess it was a bug.

Long et décadent, superbe!

Soiled label. Golden to brown amber colour. Nose of dried apricot, orange zest, yellow flower and honey. The flavor at palate was consistent with the nose. Acidity was OK but it's very boring overall, mostly due to jammy texture and lack of freshness. Is it because of hot vintage? I like Tokaji dessert wines but definitely not this one...
