F1 2015 Finals on TV (Pine Close): Tasted blind. Pop and poured. Drank over 1.5 hours. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of savoury earth, sweet spice, and red cherry. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of red cherries, ripe strawberry, sweet spice, and some slight savoury earth. Medium+ finish. Very good quality feminine Burg. Good ripeness from the old vines. Drinking well now, and could develop a bit more over the next 5 years. I have avoided the 2007 Burgs but this has piqued my interest to explore more of them.
Martine's Wines Portfolio tasting (MK, Chicago IL): nose: lovely delicate and feminine nose of red fruits, loads of florals, bits of chalk tones and nice round tones of red cherries. very alluring and chambolle in nature
taste: high acidity with a nice delicate touch of red fruits, florals and soft tones of red cherries. Lovely and demure with a whole lot of class
overall: a lovely wine that needs some time on its side to let the acidity calm down and let more depth to come about
