Golden yellow, subtle earthy aroma. Very full-bodied, fruit-forward, bordering on a heavy, slightly buttery/creamy, earthy dairy-farm character. Very good finish. Improved with air time. May be best on its own: paired with roast chicken its nuances were lost. I did not pick up on the heavy acidity mentioned by other commenters.

No detailed notes-- a unique Pinot Gris, delicious and complex. Tropical, smoky, mineral notes. High alcohol at 15%+, does not come across hot, though detectable. Atypical of the varietal, definitely for those who appreciate a little diversity. Enjoyed it very much.

Served chilled: nice nose of fresh apple sauce, honey and pineapple. Smells delicious, but the intensity can be sensed through the aromas. Rich apples, almost pie apple fruit, with a bit of caramel, and a bit of grilled pineapple on the finish. Loads of acidity, coming across harsh on the finish. Ends tart with those acids which I don't find pleasant. I thought maybe I didn't give this wine a fair shake last time, turns out I was right and it's not to my liking. While fairly high intensity on the flavor-side, the acidity here is very strong, and is too much for me. The flavors are certainly nice and somewhat complex, it's just rough around the edges.

Very unique Pinot Gris due to big acidic but interesting flavors and length or PG.
