Decanted for 40 mins. A strong nose of dark berries, plum, blackberries, with a touch of barnyard. On the palate, fruitiness, but not overpowering and with a bit of herby garrigue. Quite nice and certainly at its peak, drink now.

Popped and poured, allowed to open up in the glass for 15 mins. Hmm, this would have needed a longer decant. Lots of red fruit, cherry and strawberry on the nose, rather rich with a hint of bacon and tobacco. The palate is rather silky but with rich red fruits, voluptuous if you like, good tannins. A rather nice wine at the moment, but nothing very special, perhaps a bit of a disappointment. Will leave the last bottle for another couple of years to see what comes of it.

Opened about an hour before tasting. Had with dinner, no chance to make any serious notes, but this came across as a very fruity wine, with lots af dark fruits like plum, luscious and full. Very nice with a steak, wonderful wild mushroom sauce and fried brussel sprouts.

Visiting L'Oustal Blanc (La Liviniére): Tasted at the winery. This is a fascinating cuvée made of 70% Cinsault (no oak) and 30% Carignane (in oak). It was meaty with dark fruits, some tannins and a very elegant feel to it. Very nice!
