PNP. Nose is immediately rocking, oyster shell, iodine and lemons. Beautiful texture to the palate, silky, chalky and loaded with dry extract. Intense and deep with a core of crisp citrus fruit.

Opened and decanted. Yellow. Young Raveneau aromas of beeswax and honeysuckle. Medium weight, obvious oak base. Ripe pear and vanilla with a curious lack of grip and intensity. Only average acidity and little in the way of other distinguishing Chablis character. Sound but a gross disappointment. This should be far better than it showed tonight.
This is superb for my taste. Opens with a brilliant deep nose - with both salty and creamy notes building the complexity. On the palate the wine remains fresh, though shows just a touch of its 13 years of age now. But the acids are still focused like a laser. The citrus is gorgeous. Minerality galore. Close to Grand Cru quality here (unless you like your white Burgs to be fat...this will not give you that). In fact, the wine tightens up with time in the glass (becoming more linear and almost painfully precise), seeming to indicate there is more to unfurl with further aging. Will hold further bottles for a while, but if you have more than a few, checking in now will bring great pleasure!

Just a great wine - on fire! So much minerality and saltiness - real finesse and royalty in a glass.
