Deep dark red with purple tones. Dark cherries, hints of oak and raspberry, slightly earthy on the nose.
Full bodied, nice smooth tannins, decent acidity. Huge cherry taste, with a bit of mushroom and spice on the finish. Trace of heat on the back end. Hints of liqurice on the finish.
This was popped and poured, but could've definitely used some decanting, at least an hour or two. Evolved quite nicely in the glass. A good wine.
