Tasted on day 2. Some stewed red berry fruit. Cherries? Some hot alcohol notes. Still they are masked over pretty well by the powerful fruit. A huge amount of lift on this. Some spice just dances on the palate. Medium plus finish. This wine is a bit hard to rate as it has some flaws but some big positives as well. Many of the 2009s have fallen apart at this stage and gotten flabby. Not this it still has some life ahead.

Starting to show brown on the rim
Nose of ripe fruit and earth
Soft and rich on palate, supple tanins with moderate acidity. I don’t think this will improve from here

Enormous fruit, especially for an Oregon Pinot. Oak and mushroom.

It was more like a Burgundy. Complex Pinot Noir with both fruit and earth notes.
