Opened two months and better for it. Intense lemon peel, menthol, caramel, meat broth and tobacco. Seriously bone dry. Best as an aperitif wine than post prandial. Good but not an easy wine if you are used to Bual or Malmsey.
Note - after a few more glasses of this I bumped up the score. This is good stuff.

Dry and very fine with great intensity and precision. Long and very complex. A brilliant Sercial that's gorgeous to drink now but has decades of further development ahead. 96+. At annual byob game dinner at Daniel.

Medium bright amber with yellow edges. Caramel butter nose, with citrus and caramel flavors right after it was opened. Intense acidity, with a piercingly bitter finish. This was tasted just after opening, and with a few weeks of airing it is smoothing out a bit. More fig and caramel showing now.

Copper/tawny color. Aromas of tea, toffee, walnuts and a touch of citrus. Though just opened, rich, high acid, complex fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and great length. Very silky and persistent and unusually thick on the palate. This is perhaps the finest "young" Sercial I have ever tasted.

Unbelievable, but still young, intense and fruity. Nutty aromas with raisins and honey. Very concentrated.
