An almost saline minerality and a subtle residual sweetness makes this wine a truly pleasant companion to smoked salmon and summer potatoes. The nose reveals classical lime, wet granite but also creamy apricot and lemon curd. The palate is nicely integrated with a rather subtle acidity (compared to Keller Rieslings...). A beautifully crafted wine which deserves some attention. (score is 89-90)

Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch (Erben Müller-Burggraef) Riesling Tasting with Owner Barbara Rundquist Muller (Ristorante Luci, St. Paul, MN): Light gold color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. Nose is subtle, very slight petrol, subtle citrus, tight. Palate shows lime, very light, and while it seems there is decent acid and minerality here, the palate lacked energy and interest. This may improve somewhat with a year or two.
