Perhaps unsurprisingly there was little evidence of primary fruits here, but although this was a firm dry wine there was still complexity and at the end there was a prune earthiness which was attractive with the sweet rack of lamb

Strong dark berries with a slight heat to the nose. An appealing viscosity. It probably will benefit from further aging. We ate it with roasted chicken and cheese, bread, and broccoli. Some charcoal on the finish makes for an interesting experience.

Very solid wine not overly fruity but has depth and complexity and nicely balanced tannins. Definitely a food wine, in this case roasted loin of pork a great combo

Concentrated and deep bouquet with ink, concentrated dark berries, vanilla and sweetness. On the palate vanilla and a firm amount of oak acidity and tannin. Vegetal impressions and eucalyptus. Still youthful. Try in the early 2020’s.

Very consistent with my previous note - no sign of fading, this is a meaty mouthful.
