Light yellow; really powerful nose, lots of oak; very rich, overload of tastes (in a good way), sweet and intense; really long aftertaste; powerful wine with lots of everything

off list at restaurant, their last bottle... Golden color. Nose initially smoky/reduced, then fascinatingly evolves with time; others noted some Riesling-like notes for a while, then resumed that gunsmoke note afterward. Palate golden fruits and lemony flavor, rich with some oak, great power and acidity with a flinty edge. Hits all the notes of what you would expect with great intensity of flavor, but what struck us all was the chameleon-like evolution of the bottle throughout dinner. This producer has a lot of hype and not sure if this was the most representative bottle for that, at least for us, but we enjoyed it all the same. 92 pts

Youthful colour. Incredible nose! Easily mistaken for a d'Auvenay, chalky, flinty, stoney, wonderfully mineral, juicy and powerful long. Awesome wine! Arnaud Ente is fast becoming the next white Burgundy cult star and hard to find!
