Intense nose, rather dark fruit, wood, forest nose, lemon zest, ginger, spices. Smooth and forward on the palate, great fruit, freshness and length. Unusual

On first pour the nose bursts with cherry, almost a corn syrup 'frostee' cheery... And this a good thing. Quickly opens up and the red fruit gives to a wet grass, spring rain freshness. Really lovely. Silky smooth mouth as it coats and washes away. Impressed how balanced the alcohol is, as the fruit, the freshness, and the 'pinot-ness' of this wine really drive it. Expensive yes, but certainly embodies a great wine from an iconic producer.

Crimson core with a ruby rim; Lifted red fruits on the nose, good definition and intensity. some herbal notes too; good flavour, silky texture, the alcohol here announces itself on the finish but its not bad considering its 15% abv. Subtle nuanced finish. This is good but a little pricey for the simplicity of the flavours.

Very strong cherry and raspberry nose with maybe a hint of oak and earthiness...really appealing. Beautiful dark ruby red color. On the mouth it is very fruity with some good acidity and a lovely finish. This was my first bottle of Crossbarn as I have had Paul Hobbs single vineyard and this was quite surprising. I really enjoyed this and at the price it is a very nice wine! I will update with day 2 notes if anything materially different.

decent pinot... good nose of strawberry, plum... palate and finish a little thin... nothing special, but not bad either
