Getting to the end of its life and getting a little flabby (like all of us). Very big structure. Lots of pear, lychee, floral and big mouth feel. I've had 2 vintages of this now and want to try a couple more. Hopefully we go back to the restrained mode. Still a good drink.

Yellow colored with slow legs. Aromas and tastes of mango, peach and pineapple. Creamy/honey-like body with medium acidity and surprising sweetness. Nice finish. It has the normal highly perfumed scents for a gewurztraminer, but it was sweeter than I expected and lacked the typical spicy notes. You might not want to drink this by itself. However, I found it delightful with some smoked almonds. Since the wine wasn't what I was expecting, I almost graded it down, primarily due to the sweetness. Then, by focusing on the wine in hand, as opposed to expectations, I realized i really like it.

This was not nearly as good as the 2009. It was much more sweet with less structure. Honey and melon flavors. Pity because I really like the 2009 which became an easy drinking standard for me.

Long life on this vintage, and still drinking well, but a good time to drink what you have. Delightful.

One of my favorite summer wines. Good viscosity and a dose of sweetness. Lovely honey with a burst of grapefruit and melon.
