More bottle time has improved this. More dark cherry, a bit more mineral & earth, very nice balance with kind of luscious fruit. Not a prominent nose, but really nice and clean. Lovely.

Served with roast leg of lamb, mushroom Israeli couscous. Opened 30 mins before dinner. Lovely red in glass. Crisp, clean, fresh red fruit--strawberry/cherry/cranberry tones, well balanced light tannin & acid, some mineral. Nose and palate opened up during meal, bringing more richness. Moderate length that also gained as time went on. Would definitely decant in future. Very nice with the food. Fine and enjoyable, with some pinot elegance too.

Tough vintage and it shows on night one. Dark toned cranberry and cherry fruit. It has an ominous personality, but no green tones. Beautiful nose but very lacking in the mid-palate. It filled out considerably on night two, gaining in the middle and in overall depth. It retained its dark / low tone but took on a dusty tar note almost like Nebbiolo. The fruit showed more tartness on night two, which was well balanced by the dark tones.
Good

Fresh and lively nose, with notes of red fruit, sauerkraut, brine, charcoal and pepper. Light and fresh; fine grained, vibrant and herb-tinged. Tart with light, chalky tannins. Here's a charming everyday Pinot that worked beautifully with a roast pork loin. Get a case or two.

Anne Parent's Pommards: Very good for a region level wine actually. Strawberry, mineral, smoke. Easy and honest. There is balance here.
