Color is an translucent golden honey. Melon with a hint of rubber on the nose. Pallet is fruity like peaches and nectarines. Not much on the finish. Wine is not complex but pairs very well with foods full of spice. A good Chardonnay.

Blind California Chardonnays (My Place - Washington, DC): Medium gold color. Aromas of white peach, cantaloupe melon, along with fresh white flowers and butter. Richly textured on the palate, with a bold approach of peach, baked pear and dried mango. Whipped butter and honey mixes with nuts, shaved coconut and lemon curd. Sweet floral notes on the finish. Bold and rich, showing a range of flavors.

A bigger, bolder style. Has a touch of clone 809 in it, all barrel fermented in French oak, lots of stirring too. And that all shows in the wine. Stirring picks up the texture and depth, less reliance on malo to get the big texture.

Too much Oak. Let the grapes do their thing! Malolactic fermentation is enough. Just give it a kiss of Oak.

Kind of flat and flabby. There's oak and lemon cream on the nose and the palate. Not a whole lot of acidity or depth just the oak and not much else.
