  • Outstanding! Used the Coravin thinking wouldn’t drink all tonight….Didn’t even let it rest. 😂Smooth and long finish.

  • Decanted for 30 minutes (with some sediment) but continued to open for a while longer. A good pairing with July 4th BBQ. The wine matched the meat and BBQ sauce notes of smoke, red and blue fruit, spice and pepper. The tannins were completely integrated and the acidity kept everything in balance. Could hold for another couple of years.
Had this wine alongside a bottle of Two Hands Shiraz Bella's Garden 2012 and this wine was preferred.

  • A blend of 97% Syrah and 3% Viognier aged 16 months in 45% New French oak.
Decanted off the above moderate sediment. Opaque, dark garnet and inky in the glass.
The nose shows scents of camp smoke, over-ripe blueberry, plums and muddled blackberries alongside the notes of desecrated violets, sage flowers, old dusty leather-bound books, earth and creosote and hints of pepper.
Brooding on the mature palate. Tannins are resolved but still show grip and the acidity is moderate. Flavors follow the nose and is not short on the smoke and tar notes with tired fruit, leather and earth notes. The finish lingers moderately.

Still good, but at the end of its window, IMO.

  • Nearly a decade old, but should still go strong for many more years. Savory thyme and kirsch notes on nose and palate, with excellent fruit. Full-bodied but very well balanced. Awesome wine!

  • Cherry, raspberry, coffee. Fruit first then long finish with the coffee. Enjoyed with roasted lamb.
