Ripe and slightly tropical, but with enough density for very good balance. Comes across as slightly fleshy to start, but more restrained and (almost) elegant by the finish. Good now, perhaps better in another year. Very nice $40 bottle.

Kermit Lynch Tasting. Note is from a tasting pour.
Oak is clearly evident on the nose and does translate onto the palate. Good depth, nice fruit, reasonably tart, citrus and spiciness on the moderately long finish.

Drank as part of a first course of cheese and dried sausage. Pale yellow in color. Wonderful nose of cut flowers and lemon grass. A spirited drink with lots of vibrancy and life.
