If a reasonable wine is kept well, and particularly with a screw cap there seems little limit to its potential. This was excellent at almost 19 years old. Drank half the bottle with a fish pie and the other half with fresh salmon. Very guilty and, despite its age not at all oxidised. It has been kept in a dark cellar at a steady 50F to 55F ever since it's purchase!
Quite disgusting that this bottle (and it's companion) has been overlooked. However, it has more than survived it's ordeal. The colour is perhaps a little darker than optimum but the nose is still fresh and fruity and the flavour untarnished. So what can ever be thought wrong with a screw cap! An excellent Sémillon Chardonnay which complemented our simple fish dish perfectly.

Heritage: This is a well made chardonnay with I believe minimal oak, nice acidity to it, some citrus notes incl. lemon, grapefruit, and other white fruit. Good probably with food.
