Perhaps still more to come on this one. Very aromatic nose of jerbs. Very dry cherry. I would say there is another 5-10 years before this one fades. Perhaps a hold versus the drink up someone else recommended?

Tannins are silky smooth. Mocha and dark fruits - seemed to open up a bit more and improve on day 2 despite a 1 hour decant on Day 1. Good but didn’t really impress. Will probably open the next bottle in a year and see if bottle age helps but don’t think there’s much more to come from age , would just do a slightly longer decant.

If a Mexico Carini>Chalk Dust Torture is a wine then this is it. Big, brooding, dark fruit segues into a well-structured, balanced and energetic mouth attack of sweet, polished, drying tannins and a frenetic yet silky finish. Like Carini and CDT, this has aged and evolved beautifully, yet still has more to give over time. Stunning!

Plum leather and oak stood out in this one. Pnp and improved over an hour. 45 min decant is proably recommended, but the development over time was interesting.

Very big fruit. High abv 15.5% but well integrated. Drying tannins as others have mentioned. Recommend 3 hour decant.
