  • A real mouthful -- plenty of tempranillo fruit, plums, blackberry, but has the leather, tar and earthy notes that make for a delightfully complex old world wine. Was great with a bar-b-q chicken dinner.

  • This wine gets an extra point for the insane value. Medium-bodied, this is a REAL Spanish Tempranillo (with 15% Cabernet Sauvignon)...lovely aromtics with soft oak, blackberry, chocolate. With some air a pleasing funkiness and asphalt aroma hits the nose, along with the fruit. Cherries and chocolate on the palate with a very pleasing and surprisingly long finsih, with bitterness, acidity and tannins in a really nice balance. A perfect "house red" at less than $7. Love it--especially for the QPR, a home run!

  • 85% tempranillo 15% cabernet sauvignon
    12 months US oak
Deep maroonish in color. the nose shows a rich raspberry, with cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla bean, and minty chocolate. Medium tannins and a soft mid weight acidity help support the nice fruit.Ffresh raspberries and light cinnamon follow the nose onto the palate. Alcohol is noticable on the palate though not distracting and this wine did improve with some air. 3/5
