Consumed over 2 days, stored in Somm du Vin, note from day 2. Appearance: Clear, deep ruby with slight edge browning. nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with developing aromas of black cherry, blackberry, sweet tobacco, saddle leather, and bell pepper - ringer aromas for a slightly aged cabernet. Palate: Clean, medium+ tannins are soft but persistent, medium acid, medium+ body, medium+ intensity, 14.5% abv with flavors of black cherry, earth, and bell pepper with a medium+ finish.
IMO this is about the best you could hope for with a 9 year old $50 Cali cabernet. It's a pure expression of the cabernet grape made in near perfect balance, love it. Drinking superbly at the moment and will likely do so for another 2-3 years if well cellared.

Huge alcohol and tannins. Good red fruit out front, but that is quickly overwhelmed by a very fresh and long eucalyptus finish. Occasionally the cherry comes back at the very end of the finish. A big wine fit for a good steak. If you value a well-balanced, traditional Bourdeaux Wine, with moderate alcohol and tannins, this one is not for you.

Opened an hour before drinking. Needed very little encouragement once poured in the glass! Great with food or just by itself. Tannins a bit lively, but overall very drinkable now.

Drinking well now but I think it can go a couple more years in the cellar, I will put my second bottle back in the cellar.
