Little point in adding one more note to the current total of 348, though it does help pad my statistics: served as a little appetizer for the main tasting event. No longer made from New Mexico grapes (assuming it once was), it is pale straw, very short effervescence, just slightly off-dry. Simple but pleasant.

Similar to the last experience earlier this year with sour apple, dough, pear, lemon and minerals. Much better than I remember from Gruet.

Ditto previous notes. Tastes like Champagne for a fraction of the cost!

The Sixth Annual World's Largest Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine (Houston, Texas): Retail $17. 100%(?) Pinot Noir. Lovely nose from this wine of medium color, a lovely nose of marzipan and that oaky component. The palate is fantastic and balanced. Quite nice. Outstanding. 93 Points.

The best Gruet I have tasted. 7/7/2022. Apples, pie crust, pear, lemon and minerals. Very complex overall for less than $13.
