Only 60 cases produced, 97 points by RP and 100% Grenache so was curious to try this one...In the end not a bad wine at all but out of balance with high alcohol and kirsch fruit dominating the palate here...not enough acidity or tannins to make it a complex wine. Lots of sediment too, better decant 1 hour

Don't drink too many straight grenache based wines these days, but after this bottle maybe I should revisit the varietal? Doesn't give too much away on the nose, maybe hints of blackberry and muted spice. The palate though is a different matter, plenty of savoury concentrated black fruit supported by spice and oak culminating with a lovely balanced peppery finish. Plenty to like here. Good balance and structure. Very enjoyable. Probably has peaked but not rush to drink this. Open with those that appreciate a quality drop and enjoy something a little outside the box.

A menthol aroma and a distinct flavor of the same. Not sure I get this wine as I don't associate the flavors I'm getting from this as grenache. I'm neutral on this wine as I suppose it has its place in the wine world but at the same time I'm glad this is my last one.

I like this a lot more than the last bottle. This bottle seemed a bit more integrated as far as the acid. Its a large jammy style of wine and its startng to show some secondary aromas in the balsamic category. Time to drink up.

Kalleske Old Vines Granache - a vertical tasting (Mersch offices, Giva't Coach): Very concentrated. Shery/porty. Full bodied, almost meaty. Already lacking acidity and some bitterness on the finish. Over the Hill
