First wine I ever taste by this producer. A powerful wine made of 100% grenache. It is labeled as "Old Vine" which makes perfect sense since it's made from +80 years old vines. Give this wine time to breathe and you'll bed rewarded 10 fold! Intense and sweet notes of red and dark fruit and christmas spices - raspberry, strawberries, cloves, liquorice and cinnamon all come to my mind. The thing I like about this wine, that even though the nose is quite heavy the taste is actually quite vibrant and fresh.

Utterly splendid expression of old vine Grenache. Black fruit and tobacco on the nose. Red fruit and star anise with hints of spice. Medium finish, with subtle amount of acidity.

GT Wine Grenache and Grenache Blends (8 Danks street, Sydney): Rich and ripe, jammy fruit, touch of vanilla, oak, underpinned by sweet spice…Juicy, ripe though not overtly jammy fruit. Clean with fine tannins. Travels long an quite warm. Very old school Aussie, none the worse for that. Nice.

Dry grown, 15 months on used oak for a full-bodied density first evident in the darker-than-typical-colour.
Spice is slow to emerge with the dark fruit aromas. Soft textured spice with black plums and cherries burst out over neat acidity. Beautifully integrated with long tannins
