Tasty aroma of strawberry and crisp bright red cherry, grapefruit, some cheesy/creamy notes (Brie, crème fraiche), maybe a little oaky/vanilla. It’s internationally popular for a reason, and I decided to take a look now that I know a bit more about wine. Guess what, I really like it, a perfect accompaniment to some cheese and dried fruit. The bubbles seemed a bit shy, but otherwise about what I want from a sparkling rose.

Definitely better than my last contact with this wine some time ago. I think the reserve wines (20-30%) they are adding now make the difference. Nice fruity rose champagne with dominating notes of strawberry and other red fruits with some minerality and hints of brioche and baked bread complexity thanks to the reserve wines. Crowd pleaser, good for its level and the quantity they make.

Tasted this at Tunglok Heen during a wine dinner with my wine mates. Theme of the evening: Wines from the Year of the Dragon.
Pinkish in colour with pretty notes of cherries, strawberries and peach.
A happy way to start a dinner!

Nice old bottle, probably 15-20 years. Still got lots of bubbles, somewhat yeasty, peach flavors.
