First one of the Black Label Chardonnay since tasting it at the tasting room. Wow, a killer Chardonnay, this has it all, creamy, vanilla, honey-lemon, well balanced and great body.

Method: pop n pour (Coravin); Grassl Cru; 52 degrees
Look: medium gold
Nose: dried pineapple, other tropical fruit, butter, lemon grass, hint of oyster shell, light pleasant wood
Palate: lemon, ripe apple, butter, oyster shell; long+ finish of light herbs (parsley?) lemon grass, green apple, soft white pepper, lemon; dry; medium+ body with butter mouthfeel; high- well integrated acidity that wakes up your palate on the attach and lingers forever on the finish
Overall thoughts: Wow. So complex and expressive with a wonderful fuller, buttery mouthfeel, but with outstanding acid that lights up the palate and keep everything incredibly lively. Long life ahead! Excellent wine!

Nose: candied pineapple, mango, papaya, lemon dress; very delicious nose
Palate: yellow apple, lemon, stone fruit, lemongrass; long finish of lemongrass, lemon and white peach; full - body, very smooth and silky; high - acid, well integrated
Overall: really fantastic! Beautiful structure and notes, very rich. Keeps evolving flavor wise as I drink it, great wine!

Excellent Chardonnay. Well balanced, as is almost any Chardonnay from Dragonette. In my opinion, this is the maximum time to lay this down. Very mild and smooth, with just a hint of tartness to bring a nice balance. Pairs nicely with a white fish.
