14.0% alcohol; composite cork, cork aroma of butterscotch that has lost its fragrance; maximum wine penetration of 2 cm; foil is medium weight; long legs, lite 24 kt gold; opened and kept in the fridge for 48 hours, uncorked, before tasting at 11 degrees C; nose of oak and cedar, cassis, cranberries, walnut, whiff of vanilla; medium to full-bodied; definitely not fruit forward, but rather has a mineral-ly, woody cast, with a mineral-ly somewhat bitter finish, as expressed through hazelnuts, but in the background the looming presence of something far bitterer and much less pleasant; perhaps pair with fresh line-caught cold water fish, like Coho salmon

This light golden-colored, medium-bodied Chardonnay puts forth a crisp package of ripe tropical and orchard fruit that is accented with vanilla and spicy oak. The alcohol (listed as 14.0%) is well-integrated but the oak is over-represented. Solid in the middle and medium in length on the back end, this represents good value but would not be a bottle to pull on a special evening. Drink now-2024.

Rich but balanced ,shows some restraint -not overdone . I’m not a fan of oak and while I’d recommend they dial it back a notch or two, I found it with in the acceptable range.Loved the gravelly“terroir”. Love the trend to a more Burgundian style .
