Popped and poured. On the nose, dark fruit and some oak. Tastewise, very nicely balanced, with just enough heat to make it a great accompinement to a rich pasta and eggplant par meal. Lots of bottle age was very good for this wine.

Looks like the thrid times a charm with this wine! Popped and poured. Alcohol is well-integrated and no longer noticed. I pick up some of the same sour cherries but vegetal tones. I actually thought a bit of celery. Medium bodied.

Second bottle of my three this time. This time I ran it through the Venturi and it removed the heat/alcohol bite and smoothed the wine. I can still detect a bit of alcohol but nothing like with the first bottle (No Venturi). I think the wine relaly benefits with this or at least some normal decanting. I detect no changes in the bouquet/flavor profile of this wine except to say that the fruit's soour notes are really showing through. This wine is certainly more in line with the Wellington standard than my last bottle.

Pop n pour with pizza. A deep dark plum with hints of black pepper & cherry. Love the wine and an easy drinker.
