A lovely glass - my first Langhe for some times - but a well balanced and nice wine with lots of fruit I am thinking blueberries - also menthol and a lot of floral notes - I think 92 is a fair rating for this wine.

Piemonte: Truffles instead of Turkey; 11/23/2023-12/2/2023 (Barolo, Barbaresco, Alto Piemonte and of course Alba): Really loved that we are starting to get the preview of the 2021 vintage (which many producers are quite excited about although I’ll say there does seem to be some disagreement between this year and the 2019 for which is the ‘better’ one and a lot seems to depend on where vineyards are, etc.). Still - this is quite nice and predisposes me to think the 2021 Barolo will be quite nice. Darker red fruits, almost a sense of dry leaves, tannins very soft and the overall wine is quite pretty.
The ‘21 Rinaldi is about as good as Langhe Nebbiolo gets. For me, this is a surprisingly big step up from the ‘20 Langhe I had earlier this year, showing more finesse and more sweetness of fruit.
On the nose, I found a classic expression of sweet red fruit and floral notes, licorice, menthol, and orange peel. On the palate, it is medium to light in body, a bit simple but very pretty with a similar expression to the aromatics. It is super drinkable with minimal tannin.
