Intense candied fruit, a touch sweet. Like dissolving cherry flavored jolly ranchers in grape cool-aid spiked with vodka. No structure of any kind in sight. Put it away until dessert. Help up ok to dark chocolate.

Simple, fruity, Aussie Shiraz. Bright ruby color on the rim, but opaque purple in the center. Plum, vanilla, violet, cola, blueberry, blackberry, intense nose. Berry-dominated palate with firm tannins on the backbone and a medium-length finish.

Typical low-end Penfolds. Lots of fruit. Good for the price

Great QPR! Dark, rich fruit. I'm sure I've never had a better Shiraz at $9.

Not the right choice for pasta with red sauce I guess. Taste a bit acidic and lacking in Italian "fit."
