With Strip Steak…. Very warm Wild dark berries, pie crust, lavender around the edges. Root beer finish. Not too hot and has a bit of acidity. Don’t think it’s gonna get better so drink by 2025ish. Good QPR at $14 bones

Dark fruit, toast, and asphalt aromas are New World but without coming across as overtly big or overdone. Shows an attractive spicy aspect to bright, succulent, and plushly textured fruit flavors and there's enough stuffing here to keep things interesting.

Soft entry with herbs berries, dark fruits, plums, and minerality. Not too much spice. Drying tannins and acidity come through on the finish. Reliable and what you expect for Aussie shiraz at this price.

For Penfolds cheapest - this was a pretty good allrounder. Deep ruby bordering on slight inky purple in the glass. Big nose if blackberries, plums, violets, lavender, white pepper. Palate carries the big fruits but is quite jammy, finishing up with coffee and slight mint. Very young but not bad.

Not great, but for 12 bucks... worth it. Fruits were bright and it had an interesting finish. Fruit, hint of tannins
