Drinking well. Tannins are noticeable. Deep flavors, fruit and acidity are present. Good experience, I would drink now as opposed to waiting too much longer.

1 1/2 hour slow ox. Nose: Interesting aromatics of earth, Burg funk, moss, assorted spices and subtle florals. Palate: Very light with decent acid levels and red fruits (mostly cherry). There are some cool fresh mint and spice traces but overall this Burg is just decent on palate. The unique nose pushes this to 90 points.

Very interesting and savory nose with spices and deep raspberry fruit. Not much earth but some minerals in the finish. Plenty of structure but likely near its peak

Beautiful wine from a difficult vintage. Even with almost 10 years of bottle age, there is still soft red fruits with some secondary flavors developing as well. Not as good as the Bouley Robardelle served beside it.

Dark but see through ruby with inviting aromas of red and black cherry, forest floor, and black tea. Comes into the mouth with drying tannin, bright acidity, and a smooth texture. The swallow generates a strong spike of cranberry and sour cherry, with no hard edges. Overall, this 11 year wine is firmly structured, well integrated, elegant, savory, and unmistakenly French. Added postscript: the last 2 inches in the bottle on day 5 of being opened were way better - opaque color, decidedly richer, and caressingly silky. Raised score from 92 to 94.
