I liked this wine. It was much less leaden than I anticipated, with verve and lift coupled with smokey savory berry goodness. Nice balance. Subtle where I wasn't expecting. Enough depth to be interesting. Long finish. Well done.

Very interesting to look at older TNs for this and compare to what it's like today. Medium garnet color (definitely not light, as other notes mention). Rich nose of blackberry, raspberry, chocolate, earth, violets, cinnamon, cloves, cedar. On the palate, the oak dominates, especially early on. A little smoother after some air time. This reminds me of a Pisoni or other very ripe, extracted Central Coast Pinot. On the second night I chilled it to about 55 degrees and enjoyed it much more. Between the extra day and the chilling a bit, the harsh oakiness is gone.

This was a highly anticipated bottle to uncork, and did not disappoint. Lush strawberry notes and a hint of spice (cardamom, cloves?) on the nose. Drinks nice, slightly darker than other Pinots I've enjoyed lately, firm but silky tannins showing off a well-balanced and varietally correct Pinot Noir. I got some dense cherry pie on the mid-palate. Not the most fruit-forward Pinot, but not as subdued or earthy as some French burgundies either. I would buy this again, and heartily recommend a visit to this winery when in Russian River Valley (northern Sonoma county).

We brought this to our favorite restaurant to drink before our meal. Pours a beautiful lighter garnet color with red cherries and strawberries on the nose and palate. Maybe just a hint of sweetness, but drinking as an aperitif prior to our meal, it was great.

Color is very light garnet. Nose is strawberry, cranberry. Light/Medium bodied with a fruit forward sweetness. Easy drinking subtle finish. Would buy again. 50,5,13,15,5=88
