Just fantastic. Rich and layered and immensely complex. Cherry pie, oak, vanilla, olive, licorice. Harmonious. As good as anything I've had from GR/FM.

Popped and poured but should have decanted for sediment. Dark crimson color. Nose of blackberry, cassis, black cherry, old wood, a little dark chocolate, tobacco. Very nice. Similar flavors on the palate with a really smooth mouthfeel and finish. Quality of the winemaking was evident. There is definitely some oak in there but really balanced and integrated at this point. Drinking very well right now and not sure it has the structure to go more than 3-4 more years.

Last of 4 bottles, last tasted 2.5 years ago. Blue and red berry fruit, blueberry pie, a little tar, wet soil, and green pepper. Gritty tannins, good length on the midpalate. Pretty and bright lush finish. Drink now through 2025.
