Notes from a couple of days open. A big wine in the Girardin style. Better on day 3 open. On the nose: lemon curd, vanilla, cream, soft baked apple. On the palate: soft smoky lemon, excellent acidity up front, but a touch fat on the mid, then tangy on the finish. A nice sipping wine.

La Paulée 2019 Grand Tasting of 2016 Burgundy (Pier 60, New York): Much more to it than the Genevrières. Concentrated ripe fruit and oak. I don't like this fat, woody Meursault style.
