Pop and pour Xmas treat while watching a movie. No food needed as this is fully integrated and beautiful. Clearly soft and subtle compared to its former self, but not past ... Just changed. So enjoyable.

Deep and subterranean with a big structured backbone, tons of dark fruit and broad oak. It's delicious. This wine has real character, drinking well beyond its price point (even at $60 it's a value,) with years to go. For some reason it's been dumped on the market for as little as 20 bucks which qualifies it for one of the greatest wine values in the history of western civilization.

A bold, garnet colored wine. With a bit of burnt rubber just after decanting - it took a good hour or two for it to properly open up. Rather hot on the nose, followed by dried fruit and mineral notes. This is a very full-bodied wine that smacks of dark fruits - prune, blackberry, cherry. There is also a hint of flint and spice, with well rounded tannins. It has a rather angular texture, with a medium finish and acidity. Not the most complex or memorable.

This is a beautiful bottle of wine. A great balance of fruit, acidity and tannins - it's drinking really well right now, but will last for years. A. Rey fun bottle to drink.

this bottle is not expressive. Fruit was pinched, bitter flavors dominated. Not sure sure if this will improve.
