Enjoyed with a 30 Day Dry Aged Porterhouse and alongside a 2007 Buehler Cabernet Sauvignon. Both wines were decanted a little over an hour and fantastic, aged well, perfect with steak and get the same rating but the POV was more of a drinker while the Buehler was better with food.
COLOR: Beautiful red with only slight signs of aging.
NOSE: Cherry and tobacco
PALATE: Full mouth coat of tart cherry, leather with a little leather. Well balanced with solid acid and surprisingly still a hint of tannin.
FINISH: Strong, lasting and pleasant.
BUY IT, OPEN IT, DRINK IT!! Excellent wine!

Wow, this boy is still going strong. Decanted for an hour before dinner. Aromas of blueberry and raspberry with lots of cigar box and cedar notes. Took the full hour to open on the palate (was very alcoholic, acidic and bitter immediately upon opening) with tons of blueberry and dark cherry notes, lots of cedar and some vegetal elements as well. Acidity calmed down but still present and medium + tannin. This one could go a while longer in the cellar.

dark red garnet with a purple hue. PNP, drank 1 glass over 45 minutes. Hey, this is pretty darn good. I disagree with those that think this is past. I think it struck its zenith myself. The nose delivers some pretty classic Bordeaux notes and then it has great cassis with a sense of mountain influence. The palate has a little green pepper, herbal edge, but it gives more character than it does distract. There is plenty of structure to hold this up and the dark fruit is certainly not fading. A bit of earth enhances this as well. Well done. 90(+?)pts.

Wow, this “Sheep” version of the wine has aged well, I wish I had more bottles left.
