Dark red/purple color, cabby nose of black/blue fruits, oak, briary Mt Veeder brush. Med plus opening, subtle tannins, somewhat monolithic profile of dark fruit, chocolate, sweet cherry. Decent but not original.

A bold nose of dark fruits and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied smooth Cab, with blackberry, currants, rich dark chocolate and spices on long finish. A still very young Cab which is excellent now but will only improve with age, decant. Seek out this small production winery. www.winelx.com

Taste of Mt. Veeder, nose of black currants, black cherry, Mt. Veeder briar, and plum, same on the palate, inky, subdued fruit, nice tasting, good acid, needs 5 years to peak, probably merit a higher score with age, long finish.

A bit off bottle compared to last time tried, but still very good. www.winelx.com
