This was a "wow" wine, which paired beautifully with a crown roast at Christmas. Medium plus ruby in color. The nose is clean, medium plus in intensity, with black currants, black berries, plums and nicely integrated oak. The nose is developing. The palate is dry, with medium acidity and alcohol (14.1%). The body is medium plus thanks to the density and concentration of the fruit. The tannins are medium plus, reflecting that it still has plenty of life left. The flavor intensity is medium plus, with a rounded finish of red and black fruits and dark chocolate. It is drinking beautifully now, will probably continue to exhibit a very nice mature flavor profile for a couple more years at least.

Dark purple color. Black currant & plum nose. When first opened, heavy toasty oak tannins dominated but after about 1 hour it softened very nicely to show wonderful red/black cherry and a little chocolate with a very nice long and well rounded finish. Excellent mature new world blend!!

Surprising. Jumps with spice and currants after an hour decanting. Drink up.

Still a beautiful lady. Elegant red fruit. Mature. Stacey Clark at her best. Our last one. 100 pts for sentiment. Drink up.

More balanced than recently. Really nice darker-red fruit. Herbal notes, with a hint of chocolate.
