Dark and inky, medium/full bodied. Blue fruits, plums, mocha and plenty of oak. Plenty of acidity, tannins reasonably plush. Finished a tad short with a bit of hole in the mid-palate. Nice wine for the price.

By courtesy of BA flight at 35,000 feet LHR -> HKG. Agree with Papies very much new world style but didn’t seem excessively overdone and amidst the bright fruits still yielded interesting mocha and earthy notes with velvety tannins. Definitely a wine to best appreciate high up in the sky or with a rich steak (or both).

By the glass courtesy of BA at 35k feet LHR > JFK. Fresh bottle. Caveat here is that one needs to like the style and we don't. Very much new world Shiraz supercharged with American oak ( not shy in the use of it) so the result is a big, ripe rich and of course spicy wineoveralyed with lots of chocolate/mocha notes. Voluptuous wine, very obvious and at times a bit confectionary. A bit too much for our palate leans on the heavy side too.86-87 but then again we don't like this style of wine .

Medium bodied red. Caramel chocolate aroma with slight dark berries. Peppery and smooth. Not so tannic.
