Dark purple, great nose, smooth palate with plenty of tannins waiting in the wing. Still fresh; I would have believed this was the latest release at the tasting room...That's a muscle man.

Still incredibly youthful. Dark purple color with juicy black cherry and blackberry fruit, graphite and rich earth. Typical Petite Sirah with an impenetrable black color, loads of tannins, and a fairly simple palate of flavors. The alcohol here is a bit too much, but the wine is quite attractive for its juicy flavors.

Age has been very good for this wine. Enjoyed very much. Very dark and full bodied. The overwhelming fruit has mellowed but still remains lush and fresh. Long finish.

Drinking very well with a decant. Quite ripe and young. The nose does it no favors as is high octane. Color is dense ink. The wine is very smooth and integrated, full bodied without a doubt, but very enjoyable dark purple and blue fruits that pairs well with fatty meat - or could stand on its own. Big finish. Excepting the nose, competes well with the big Cali cabs over the past decade or so.

No formal notes, as this was a magnum opened at a large offline. As expected, the wine was pretty big and bold, and still holding lots of tannin structure. In this format, I could see this wine aging a very long time further.

(Robert Foley Petite Sirah Muscle Man) The name speaks for itself. This wine shows massive, viscous layers of super-ripe berry-pie aromas and flavors. Winery Spotlight: Robert Foley Vineyards
