This is drinking so well right now. Just a fantastic example of a Sonoma Pinot. While it has age on it, this is full of vibrant fruit. It is soft with beautiful texture. Hints of spice and secondary notes. Acidity balances everything.

Shows just a bit of brickish color on the meniscus. Really lovely, complex nose of red fruits, earth/dust, smoke, cola and spice. Aromas carry over to a medium bodied, slightly sweet, almost elegant wine on the palate. Fruit-forward and new world in style, and almost (but not quite) jammy/candied. Lush, juicy texture with a medium, fruity, acidic finish. I usually do not enjoy fruit-forward pinots, but I found this one appealing for all the complexity and the nice kick of acidity. This bottle had no spritz, harshness or any other negative attributes as reported by other tasters.

Interesting what a few months can do to a wine. Just nine months after my last bottle, this one showed its age - the first glass was nice, rich, and fruity with a velvety finish. The last glass was a bit astringent, the fruit had dissipated, and the wine was just average. Good wine, but glad this was my last bottle.

Burgundian like with cherry, earth, funk, spice and mushrooms. Balanced effort and medium finish. Good acidity. Drink now.
