This plummy and rich Cabernet is drinking like a wine on the decline right now, with gobs of fruit... but not a lot else. Magenta in color; full in body; aromas of prune, cedar, and menthol. Flavors of blueberry, sour cherry, wood chips, and leather, with a sweet and loose finish. 14.9% alcohol. I'm a fan of Mike Smith, but this wine should have been opened a few years ago. Drink now.

Dark ruby red with garnet edges. Lovely nose with black fruits, dark spices, and anise. Heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Dark berries with some underlying gravel. Excellent structure and some spices too. Super long finish. Decanted for 6 hours and needed more. Drink till 2025.

This poor little guy kicked out some cedar and funk on the initial attack which jumbled the flavor profile. The seemingly beautiful fruit was dark and deep, but the frame was lost and the back end fell apart a bit. Suffered from some VA issues unfortunately.

Double decanted 11 hrs before the first pour. This is dark, savory, and delicious! Made for a great pairing with grilled filet mignon with Montreal sasoning and a Stilton sauce. Plenty of good years ahead for this wine.
