Back to an earlier note with disjointed mix of alcohol, tropical fruit flavors, good structure and an annoying bitter finish. Not a loser but off the mark

Cork was pulled the other night but we never drank it; gassed off and reopened this evening. Light straw coloring, apricot and warm dewy morning on the nose.
There's some butter on the palate but its not overdone at all. I don't know that any of my prior notes reference the balance between buttery and crispness, but thats the case here. There's also anjou pear. Quite pleasant and while not the best pairing with tonites mussels it worked well on its own or w food.

Incredibly complex notes of pastry dough, lemon curd, fennel, petrol. Aggressively concentrated with slightly harsh alcohol. Very young. Will need years to be at it’s best

Tasted the 2019 Brewer-Clifton Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills and found it quite enjoyable. The nose presented butter, cream, lemon, and a hint of pineapple. On the palate, it was vibrant with an impressive oily mouthfeel. Initially, there was a slight bitterness in the finish, but it faded within an hour of opening. Overall, a solid Chardonnay showcasing the qualities we love in this varietal grown in Santa Barbara, CA.

Beautiful wine, couplex and lovely, with plenty of time to go.
