black cherries with dark fruit, deep red color, but an odd smell.

In a good place now, with spicy and raspberry notes in the aromas and palate. Smooth, satiny tannins that area well integrated.

I think this might be too young. Thought it was a little flat, and had some green to it (bell pepper, etc). Not at the same level of all the past EK i have had. Just lacked elegance and still had a lot of hard edges. Probably worth holding for another year or two.
